"I saw the dull yellow eye of the creature open..."

It is born... The independent project of some students, hoping to create a phone game app that along the way will provide experience for future projects as well as their educational assignments.

These efforts consist of Louis Melling and Sam Reynolds.

The game itself will be made and compiled in the Unity 3D engine which we were introduced to on our Game Art Course at Farnham UCA. It will be culminated up of humour, beauty and immersion. Following a favoured style of the dungeon crawler and hand painted art style commonly appreciated by the masses today.

The story of this project is as follows:
  • Boy of 14/15, early teens (the player) is idling about with nothing to do.
  • A wizard approaches the boy with an offer of reward for a small deed
  • Questioning the wizard the boy finds out the wizard requires him to look after his cat whilst hes on vacation.
  • With promise of financial reward the boy accepts the offer on the condition he doesn't touch the wizards staff (lol) and the wizard departs to Barbados.
  • After the wizard is gone, the cat decides to be adventurous and darts off away from the boy and into a neighbouring dangerous territories...
  • Worried about the cat not coming back and the wizard being mad, he takes the wizards staff of power and descends into these dangerous territories.
So yeah basic outline of the intro there... The player enters dungeon areas and has to defeat his way through hordes and solve puzzles to rescue the cat at the end.

Chosen themes for dangerous territories:

  • Mayan Temple
  • Dark Forest
  • Graveyard/Crypt/Tomb

Story board + Concept art coming soon....
